Exporting Data

Navigate to the list view (Clients, Contacts, or Communications)

Click the Import / Export dropdown button

Select Export CSV — the file downloads automatically

Exported files include:

  • UTF-8 encoding with BOM for Excel compatibility
  • All fields for the data type
  • Only records visible to your user role

Importing Data

Download a Template

Click Import / ExportDownload Template to get a pre-formatted CSV with correct headers.

Fill in Your Data

Open the template in Excel or Google Sheets, fill in your data following the example row, then save as CSV.

Upload & Map Fields

Click Import CSV, upload your file, and verify the automatic field mapping. Adjust if needed.

Preview & Confirm

Review the preview of data to be imported. Fix any validation errors, then confirm the import.

Tips for Successful Imports

Use UTF-8 encoding for your CSV files

Dates should be in YYYY-MM-DD format

Leave optional fields empty (not "null")

Test with a small file before large imports

Always Export First

Before performing a large import, export your existing data as a backup in case something goes wrong.
